Il y a tellement de choses a visiter dans cette superbe région
que nous aurons grand plaisir a revenir. Le chalet est très
agréable, la vue est superbe et le calme est reposant.
Entre les visites (La Bastide Clairence, St. Jean Pied de Port,
Espelette, Biarritz, Les Gorges de Kakuetta, La Rhune...) et les
siestes a la piscine, on ne peut pas être mieux! Nous vous

A great location with superb weather (40°C in Espelette).
We have enjoyed Biarritz, Bayonne, Bilbao (of course the Guggenheim
is a must), Guethary, Pau and the Iraty forest. La Bastide Clairence
is a lovely village and the Iduki restaurant would be worthy of
a Michelin star. We loved the farmers' market on Friday evening
and sampled "Bob's Beers". Our French improved as the
week progressed and we have found the Basque people incredibly
warm, friendly and forgiving of our feeble attempts to master
the language. There is so much more to explore and so we hope
to return one day.

Really enjoyed our stay here. It was just as advertised
and very peaceful. A great mix of traditional/rustic/modern and
in a great location. We loved St. Jean de Luz: delightful little
town with great market, restaurants and beach. San Sebastian:
Really good city for wandering round, great beach, fab atmosphere
and amazing "pintxos" bars - a must see. Biarritz: chilled,
non-touristy, great atmosphere. So...very relaxing but with lots
to do if needs be. I could definitely come again...thanks!

What an amazing, idyllic place for our honeymoon! The
landscape is gorgeous and have loved BBQ-ing under the stars!
We've watched the horses in the field and seen them playing in
the river. Charlie, the cat, has visited us. We have spent many
a lazy hour by the pool and time in Biarritz - great waves! We're
already planning a return visit - thank you.

We have loved our week in Chalet 2 - very tranquil, peaceful
place. Loved the chalet - has everything you need and a nice hot
shower. Had a great time driving to the coast each day (Biarritz
for the full-on surf and fun days and more chilled out beaches
at Bidart and Guethary) but always loved coming back to the view
and fresh air. Our favourite meal out was at Espelette - the restaurant
Chilhar, but also loved the more local Iduki Ostatua in La Bastide
Clairence. The pool is fantastic - didn't make enough use of it
- too lazy! Will definitely recommend.

has been a great holiday and we found the chalet to be the perfect
base for exploring the region and a comfy and relaxing place to
come home to. We recommend the Cenitz Ostatua restaurant/bar in
Guethary (mentioned in Cathy's welcome guide). Although it's a
bit hard to find, bliss once you're there! The food at La Table
Gourmande (Chez Ghislaine) is excellent - make sure you know a
bit of French though! I recommend a trip to the Guggenheim in
Bilbao if you have time - it's amazing. Looking forward to our
next trip to Le Pays Basque.

Wedi cael amser anhygoel!! Fantastic area, chalet has
been spot on - welcome and advice from Cathy brilliant. We recommend
Bayonne, Ciboure and St. Jean de Luz, La Rhune mountain climb
and across the border to San Sebastian. Wonderful.

perfect place to get away from it all and feel very much relaxed.
The pintxos at Bar Basque in Biarritz are reason enough to visit,
let alone the rest (beaches, views, patisseries, shopping...)
which the town has to offer. thank you for a wonderful escape.
